CREDIT AND CLOCK HOURSGRADUATE LEVEL COLLEGE CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS/CREDITS Participants in Slingerland courses, short courses, and workshops may receive graduate-level continuing education units or credits upon completion of the course or program. These units are not part of a degree program, however, a participant may contact their university of choice for acceptance of a Slingerland course for credit. Colleges and universities offering these units/credits have included Alaska Pacific University, California State University, University of San Diego, Lewis and Clark College, Seattle Pacific University, Cumberland University, and Florida International University. That these institutions provide continuing education units/credits for our courses is a strong testament to our competency and reliability and to the respect we have earned in the field of dyslexia education. If you are a teacher who is seeking professional advancement and to expand your "toolbox" of skills, you owe it to yourself to look into Slingerland training. Enrollment for credit is at the option of the participant.
Clock Hours In Washington, and soon many other states, our courses have also been approved for clock hours through my247ed. You can view the website listing all the courses and the number of clock hours each course has been approved for at http://www.my247ed.com. You will need to create an account to access the information -- there is no obligation or cost for creating an account. The Slingerland courses may be found under the Conference section of the website. If you have any questions about the number of university continuing education credits offered for a program, or about the institutions offering them, please call (425)453-1190 or send an email.
