COURSE REGISTRATION

Our courses are open to anyone with a desire to help students who struggle with reading, writing and/or spelling by learning the techniques of the Slingerland® Approach.

To participate in any course:

1. Fill out the online order form at the SIL online store. You will receive a confirmation notice from the Slingerland office shortly after your registration is received.

2. If you prefer not to use the online registration, you may download the registration form for the desired course on the Course Location page. Or click here to download a generic application form.

Scholarships

The Slingerland Institute is please to announce that we will be offering two partial scholarships to Summer 2011 Second Level or Third Level Slingerland Comprehensive Courses. Click here for more information; click here to download the application packet

Space Reservation

To reserve space at one of the SIL courses, we require a non-refundable deposit:

• $200.00 for a comprehensive or In-Year course
• $70 for a 20-hour short course
• $40.00 for a 10-hour short course
• $25.00 for any of the Teaching Tool Workshops

The space reservation option is not available online. You must contact the office directly to process such a request.

Cancellation and Substitutions

You may cancel your registration up to ten (10) business days before the course begins and we will refung your fully paid tuition less a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee for the comprehensive or In-year course is $50.00; for the short courses, it is $20.00; for the Teaching Tools Workshops, it is $15.00

If you need to cancel less than ten (10) business days before a course begins, you may

• send a substitute from your organization; or
• transfer 80% of your registration fee to another course of your choice that is scheduled within 12 months of your original course.

A transfer fee of 20% will be deducted from the available funds.

There are no tuition refunds on or after the first day of the course.

Return Item Fee

We charge a $50.00 handling fee for returned checks.
