Excellence in literacy education demands equitable access and support. That sort of education changes lives for teachers, students, and communities. There are many dedicated educators—classroom teachers, tutors, interventionists, and parents—who want to be better prepared to help students achieve yet face hurdles to accessing the necessary training.

Comprehensive Class Scholarships
Slingerland Literacy Institute (SLI) is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships generously provided by Thomas Scholarships, the Carol Murray Fund, individual donors, and the Slingerland Board of Directors Fund.
These equity-based scholarships can be applied to any of the Slingerland Introductory Comprehensive Classes scheduled for the summer of 2024. Scholarships may cover up to the full tuition of a Slingerland Comprehensive Class.
Scholarship applications submitted after April 8, 2024 will be considered only if all scholarship funds have not yet been awarded.

Initial Requirements:

Recipients must be willing to share their contact information, along with the reason and purpose for taking the class with Slingerland Literacy Institute.

Recipients will be required to share feedback on the class with Slingerland Literacy Institute.

Recipients' place of training and city and state of origin will be shared with Slingerland Literacy Institute's members, donors, and scholarship partners.

Recipients will be notified of their scholarship award no later than April 19, 2024.

Slingerland Literacy Institute (SLI) is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships provided by Boon-Donor-Fund Scholarships for the Techniques for Teaching Reading Skills classes .

We will post details on how to apply for scholarship when we announce the next Techniques for Teaching Reading Skills class.
